In the year 1993 I completed my exam as a nurse in Berlin. Since then, I have worked in many different locations in Germany. In 1996 I started working at the Dialysis centre in Ahaus, West Germany. This was also the year that I traveled for the first time to Ethiopia to visit my sponsored child, and began my voluntary work in pediatric health care. I visited Ethiopia 3 times and saw first hand how people, especially children, have to suffer, have to starve, and have to die in this world we are living now!

Then I found the contact to Sister Mariola from the Kasisi children’s home in Zambia. I have volunteered there several times. While volunteering I met Doctor Tim. He came every Sunday to examine the children. He told me about his own project, Tiny Tim and Friends, and I decided to start volunteering for this project. I have now done so several times and I love that work so much that I hope one day I can go to Zambia for a longer time. There is so much to do! I always ask to myself, why people/ children have to suffer such cruelty!? Where is the justice between rich and poor?

So when I’m here in Germany, I always try to organize fundraising events for Tiny Tim and Friends! I

Can not imagine doing nothing! I can’t wait until my next trip to Zambia!
