My name is Fernando (Musukwa) Manfrezy and my role with Tiny Tim and Friends is Director of Social Work Team for TTF. I have worked with Dr. Tim the team for the past 2 years. I came to Dr. Tim as a volunteer as I finished my Social Work diploma and worked with him at Jon Hospice as well as the day care and transit homes which he was visiting at the time. |
| I was born in Zambia in 1987 in the Southern Province and my family is a branch of the Tonga people, called “Ila.” I have one son, who was born last year and is named Charles. I live with my uncle and his family but have been spending more and more time at Tiny Tim and Friends Organic Farm, as the amount of work and time spent on the project has grown. |

I recently completed a course in Psychosocial Counseling through Kara Counseling and Training Trust here in Lusaka. This course was available to me from a monthly educational stipend which I receive from Tiny Tim and Friends. My personal devotion to this wonderful organization and my gratitude for their support are now guiding principles in my life today. I have had the privilege to witness first-hand the powerful work that is being done for children, pregnant women and families whose lives have been shattered by AIDS and poverty. This work has put me into situations which I would have never imagined I would be in, giving me a new strength in spirit and a firm belief in the inherent goodness of people and the will to make this tragic situation in Zambia become a better place. It is not an exaggeration to say that my work with TT&F has been a life-changing experience and one that I am deeply grateful for. |
