Goals

  • Coordination of large donations to orphanages, transit homes and day care centers.
  • Organization of volunteers from all over the world, medical, non-medical, and dental.
  • Regular outreach programs to screen orphans, vulnerable children, and pregnant mothers for HIV and tuberculosis infections.
  • Comprehensive medical care and nutritional support for 250 HIV positive orphans and vulnerable children (OVC’s) and 50 pregnant women.
  • Psychosocial counseling and adherence monitoring for HIV positive OVC’s and pregnant mothers.
  • PMTCT (Preventative Mother to Child Transmission) activities that have resulted (to date) in 15 HIV-negative deliveries and successful breast-feeding and weaning programs.
  • Support for tuition, uniform fees, and school books for OVC’s.
  • Social, nutritional, economic, medical, psychological, and educational support for 120 OVC’s at Jon Hospice, Kabwata.
  • Economic support, and job training and food production for family units on Tiny Tim and Friends Organic Farm.
