GOOD NUTRITION PROVIDES A FOUNDATION FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Yesterday saw the launch of the Global Nutrition Report 2015, stating that good nutrition provides a foundation for human development and the scaffolding needed for people to fulfill their full potential. Good nutrition is an essential driver to human development. Without good nutrition human beings cannot fulfill their full potential. 

It additionally highlights that tackling malnutrition effectively is also key to meeting many other SDG targets. Good nutrition signals the realization of people’s rights to food and health. It reflects a narrowing of the inequalities in our world.When people’s nutrition status improves, it helps break the intergenerational cycle of poverty, generates broadbased economic growth, and leads to a host of benefits for individuals, families, communities, and countries

Improving nutrition is fundamental to achieving improvements in global development and health. Good nutrition in HIV+ children living in urban compounds in Lusaka is essential to ensure their bodies are getting the right nutrients to fight infections and illnesses. This is why we have launched our crowdfunding campaign with CARINGCROWD℠, a crowdfunding plaform powered by Johnson & Johnson aiming to address health inequalities. 

After just 1 week we have raised over $1,300 but we still have a long way to go to reach our $6,500 target - so remember, pledge, share, promote on social media and spread the word to help us support 25 of the most vulnerable HIV+ children at our clinic.
